Hahahahahah man, I dunno how many times I’ve written “…almost ripped everything off this board” but last night I actually had my hands on the pedals and began unmounting them.

EVERY dirt pedal started feeding back uncontrollably, unity gain or not! I had the Wah and Fuzz Face removed and then thought “No, this isn’t going to get the best of you. FAR more complicated boards exist and work fine. Stop bitching and figure it out”
This is the video I made to post here and at the Fractal forum as at the time I had the VP4 isolated as the issue.
While waiting for this video to upload I took a dab hit and nearly lost a lung in the process, but when I could breath again the answer was sitting in my head- “You got loopception going on over here, you have to reasonably expect feedback and/or ground loops, start eliminating the loops until you find it, you haven’t tried the Plexi50 loop yet, try it”
I plug everything in and poof, feedback loop gone. The rig was so damn silent I thought something wasn’t plugged in until I hit the strings and McFly’d myself again. One would think I would just play and celebrate the success, but nope, not after the last week of issues popping up. I sat down and did everything I could to force the rig to squeal like a banshee until I was satisfied that everything is working 100% as it should.
I assumed the Plexi50’s loop was going to be the same as a real Plexi, after the power section, but while it’s passive, I was able to crank the amp and my delays and verbs were still clean sounding, so I’m guessing Ceriatone does their loops the modern way, just passive. I’ll grab a Suhr tube buffer or the Ceriatone buffer kit.
Right when I went to go record some demo clips of it my neighbor got home so I’m going to run home on my lunch break today and crank it up a bit.
I tell ya though, once everything was working properly and there were no hums, buzzes or hisses, it sounded fuckin FANTASTIC.
