Open back headphone recommendations?

My HD 280 Pro´s sound terrible to me. They are bass heavy and lack highs... which might not be very important if it wasn´t for my hearing loss in high freqs.

And, my Superlux HD-681F one backs feel much more pleasant to me. They are trebly, so in my personal case it makes sense. The wire broke, so I´ll need another cans.

I´m reading your opinion and researching a little. So far, I like the HD600 specs and freq response the most.

If you're considering the HD600 (which I think is really the baseline for open-backs), look at the Hifiman Sundara too. It's also tuned to be a neutral-sounding headphone but with a better lowend. Only caveat to it is they're not as comfy as the HD600.

Yeah, I was looking at the Sundara, the Ananda Nano and several Senns HD6´s and HD5´s. Being the HD600 my favourite right now.

As you have nailed, I´m giving importance to neutrality (I want them for mixing) and I don´t mind if they´re a little trebly (given I´m losing highs anyway). I know that it´s posible to correct with EQ, but I prefer to avoid it for the sake of simplicity and posible phase issues.

Now I´ve already managed to get Genelec 8030 monitors, and my new home-studio is acoustically isolated, so I won´t disturb anybody (even cranking my tube amp to eleven), so I´m not in a hurry to get the cans.

By the way, as closed-backs for tracking, I´ve spotted the Shure Shure SRH440 (not the "A" version). They seem to be quite neutral and very cheap. Would they be any good??

I haven't tried the SRH440 but looking on autoeq.app, I see they're in the same ballpark as the HD600 (at least as far as the frequency response would have you belive).
