I had a 900 Ninja before the Concours, but it wasn't practical for trips. And the wife LOVED riding! And I wasn't ready for a HD, so when Kawasaki introduced the Concours in 86, I thought it was the PERFECT bike. But like you said, it's mostly either sport bikes, or cruisers of some type.
I like twisty roads, and a bike that can handle them, but I also like being able to pack stuff for a trip right on the bike. So I sold the Ninja and bought it new in 97.
But then I got the Harley itch, and well, that's another story. Don't have the Harley any more, but I kept the Concours.
harleys are never gonna be my thing! having my legs in front makes me feel like im gonna crash and bust my legs into dust
