Not sure if they're on here but I had some very gracious forum Bros from Rig Talk both make a huge gesture that I will be forever grateful for.
Have been down on my luck with some unexpected house expenses and had to essentially sell off everything.
JackBootedThug is a Mod over on RT and during a conversation he kind of figured out I didn't currently own a single guitar so he sent me one out (Tele) and said if you like it, buy it cheap. If not send it back when you're done.
Pretty amazing gesture and I couldn't believe it honestly. Well I really like the guitar and I will be buying it. The neck feels nice and plays super fast. I have a few upgrades in mind for it down the road. I think Gotoh makes a brass bridge/saddles that will fit, a new bridge pickup and some tuners and this thing will be fire.
So after that I posted a thank you thread over there explaining what went down and then I get a PM from the infamous Charvel Dan. Turns out we live pretty close to each other and he offers me an EC-256 Relic as a gift. I feel a little weird taking handouts tbh but he said it's been sitting in a closet forever and will never be played again so idk, I couldn't really say no to that.
We met up, he's a super easy going guy and again I am grateful for both of these guys.
Anyway, wall of text but I went from 0 guitars to getting 2 in a single day from the forum homes. Just wanted to share.

I had the Fender version a number of times and always loved it. I always wondered how the Squier stacked up. I don't believe JBT is here but good on them for helping a brother out \m/ (You too Dan!)
