NGD: 2022 Martin HD-28V

Actually, instead of doing a whole new thread I just repurposed this one as the NGD thread.

I just got back from picking up the used 2022 with the Adi top. I had to get in touch with Martin Friday to verify some info with the serial number.

GC had this misidentified as one of the VTS limited runs but it’s actually a 2022 special run HD-28V that Martin makes for sweetwater. It features Adirondack top and bracing, also using the golden era forward shifted scalloped X bracing, and the pre-reimagined 1 11/16 with the modified V neck profile.

I’ll report back when I spend more time with it, but so far I love everything about it. The Adirondack and rosewood really make a special thing.

I feel like I really lucked out to be able find such a good deal close enough that I could play the instrument and compare it to some other models.

The HD-28V was sort of bucket list for me for a couple years, was pretty pumped to discover that’s what this was.
 
Spent another 30 mins banging on it tonight and I’m loving it. It’s a huge sounding guitar. I’m enjoying hitting chords and feeling the guitar resonate my chest. :rofl
