Last of the real deal stoners… maybe… i mean… kyuss and the whole ”lets go to the dessert and turn amps up really loud and let people get wasted” is one thing, which of course can be seen still today where bands from all over the world hook up and do that thing. Stoner stuff. Play loud, outside… on some rocks or in camp of trailers… or whatnot…

but honestly, josh and the music was born from all that. At least Qotsa refined their style of that type of music. Got to love whatever the dude does with amps and effects.

this reminds me I just have to play the play “Blues for the red sun” (Kyuss) for breakfast tomorrow… classic trashy dirty filthy crap! Can’t believe it’s actually referred to as “hard rock” Probably is… but not to me.

listened to the new album, it’s pretty solid and I like the overall sound of it. But good god, Like Clockwork just sounds like a Greatest Hits by comparison, it’s hard to see them topping that album.

To be fair, Like Clockwork is a greatest hits, we just didnt know the songs yet at the time it was released.
