I saw that in my YT Feed this morning. This is weird and kind of awesome.

I knew there was no way they weren't going to address that neck break that occurred at a live show and this was pretty clever in getting ahead of everyone who was going to post that video while tagging both PRS and Herman in it saying, "You want us to buy this for $5K?"
 
So isn't this a new body shape?

The guitar they need to be making RIGHT NOW is that few-off they made for Mark Tremonti. THAT is a cool AF guitar!

But they claimed they couldn't make it a production guitar due to needing a whole new CNC setup in the factory.

So? DO IT! I guarantee it would pay for the tooling needed. They could make a whole line of new models based on it.

But I do like this guitar also. And $6k is right about where the nice core guitars are atm. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I personally feel you get more bang for your buck with the EBMM's in that price range though. But they're not marketed nearly as well, nor even produced in as large numbers.

(Which btw, is how Les Paul originally built his "Log" guitar- neck all the way through, with the "wings" added on. For what that's worth. :rofl)
 
The last limited production PRS I bought in 2017, PRS Reclaimed Limited Peroba Rosa S2 Vela Semi-Hollow, typically sells for 2x its purchase price.

I don't expect that I'll see a 2x appreciation in value, but I'm sure I can at least break even if I decide to sell it in the future.

Now the waiting begins.

I'm too scared to speculate on most any type of purchase like that. Be just my luck they'd sell out in an hour, then they'd increase the production to meet the demand.
