In vintage tobacco burst is arriving Saturday.

I spotted one in the Andertons May deals so grabbed it.

I just hope I like the neck on this one 🤞🙏

Nice! Congrats!

I know they take a beating here, but I’ve had great experiences with modern Gibsons. Wouldn’t hate owning one of these.

@Dave Lewis got specs? Is it the 60s slim taper or the rounded 50s neck?
Says vintage 50s so I’m hoping it’s on the thicker side 🤞🙏

You are going to love it. Both my Gibsons have the 50s neck and both are INCREDIBLE. Awesome specs.

Great speck .

Everything on these is good but there is less of it and that’s why it’s cheap. I wish more budget instruments went back to this philosophy. These were designed for students that couldn’t afford the LP standard or custom but still needed a proper instrument and they ended up in professional use since they came out. Same wood , same build quality but simple design that cuts down on quantity and time but not quality as a guitar.

Yeah, these and the LP specials are great guitars for not a lot of cash. Picked a 2023 special up for about £1000 second hand in mint condition. That's £299 less than one of the latest top line Epiphones...

And the difference as an actual instrument is unbelievable. These and older LP Studios and Even the Tributes are all a far far better bet than any Epiphone . With the exception of the made in Japan ones which are actually good.
I put some Lollar Imperials in to a Tribute the other day and it was really nice in the end. Good wood no issues that could not be sorted out.
The whole thing including my input and the Lollars cost the guy just under £1k.
