New Amp Day! Marshall DSL20

I’m back and forth between 1959/2204 and Mark/Dual Rectifier constantly and those two groups of amps cover different ground but also compliment each other perfectly.

There’s a reason A TON of the most iconic gain tones from the 90s were a Mesa and a Marshall in parallel. They sound MASSIVE together.
I need a second loadbox (and a second cab)

Yup. At this point in Life I realize I am caught in the Holy Trinity of Fender Cleans/EOB, Marshall Crunch/Lead,
and Mesa High Gain.

Of course I can do a lot of other things with those amps/brands...... but with all the boutique this and that, and the
modded to hell platforms based on one of the above.... it has just left me with the realization that I always
go back home to one of those 3. Always. :chef

I need to get a Fender one day, I’ve never even played through one at a GC or anything.

The Mesa Mark stuff actually does a pretty serviceable BF/SF Fender thing. The Mesa clean is a little bolder, a little stiffer, but can actually be better in the EOB tones. I can do SRV on my Mark IIIs clean channel with a tubescreamer and Strat. You’re probably closer than you think.

I love the cleans I get, and I’ve always chalked it up to the Mark’s origin as a modded Fender in the first place :chef
