I figured this was the best spot for this, since it’s pedal power related.
So, I had been using my pedalboard this way, since the summer. And it was working perfectly. It was a Friedman IRX, an HX Stomp XL, and a Shure GLXD16+, all powered by a Strymon Zuma R300.
I recently moved, (a week ago), from the IRX to an IRD, same pedalboard, didn’t have to change anything. It WAS working just like the old board, until today.
Now, when I power the board up, the Friedman powers up for 1 second, then powers down, and just keeps repeating that.
Here’s the important part:
The IRX/D uses 12v (but can be used with 9v, I think?), and 800ma for power, so I use a doubling cable, and 2 outputs on the Zuma (500ma each output).
If I use the Friedman’s wall wart, it’s fine, AND, if I use the one Zuma output set to 12v and the other set to 9v, it’s also fine. It’s only when I set both Zuma outputs to 9v, that this occurs, and I could SWEAR, the Zuma has ALWAYS been set to 9v, either with the IRX (for months), and with this new IRD (for the last week).
