I use a FM3 w/o a PC editor and my AXE3 with the editor. Once you know the menu architecture, all their products flow the same. Is there a lot, yes, but after short while you learn where to go immediately to make your important tweaks. I've built a few presets from scratch on the FM3 w/o an editor. Is it a fast as using the editor, no, but it's not that bad once you are familiar with the structure, as I said previously.

Same here on the FM3: all directly on the unit itself… except for complex footswitching.

The other benefit of trickling them out is it creates consistent buying opportunities for their user base. When they drop a pair every few months, QC owners buy one or both, as it’s the only best way to get new shit on the platform. With a mass drop, there would be an initial feeding frenzy for some, but many would just hold out for free updates from there, after nabbing a couple initially. The current approach has essentially turned it to a pay-to-update plan for the foreseeable future.

And interesting that they are releasing a pair always bundled with the update and not random times of the year
I agree I think it makes it much more likely for someone to LVL UP
 
I have Gojira, I only really care about Rabea next, because of the synth like so many others. I’ll likely buy Rabea for 50% and never even touch the amps or effects

The Rabea synths might interest me if they were polyphonic. But I'll just stick with actual synth plugins for synthy stuff. I've been eyeballing Serum for quite a while but it's hard to justify when I already have a few decent ones that get the job done.

On the hardware side I still have a Roland MC-101 and a Novation Circuit Tracks I should probably learn to use. Oh and a Maschine Micro.
