Chinese built one but sounds and feels solid. Previous owner took the blank panel out to expose the valves+transformers, and moved the badges to the front. I kind of prefer the OG look, but I also prefer the original 5150II look to 6505+.

Importantly it’s the tone that matters. It actually sounds more like the OG than I remember, albeit a bit tighter and polished up. It’s in a great sweet spot between the EVH models which I find can sound a bit too polished.

Ridiculous price! Great pickup! I don’t remember ever having the 6505+ but I absolutely must have. No way I’d have skipped that one I don’t think.

Yup, I had one. I had to look back and find an old post from 2021.

Apparently I couldn’t really get along with it back then. I think I just love the OG so much. But I’m definitely not throwing any shade at the plus. That’s one of the quintessential metalcore amps and I love that stuff. I probably just didn’t spend enough time with it.
