Less than 350 bucks, some spare lumber and old dresser handles, small mending plates and 2 hours of my time. Pedals wont budge an inch and it's ready to go. Great use of my Friday night.

Nice work. Some extra wood and a few hours is all it takes to make a custom sized pedal board.

Did you mount the brackets to the pedal with the screws from its enclosure? Anything supporting underneath the corners without the brackets or did it all mount flush?

How do you like that vintage overdrive? I've been thinking of grabbing one as a cheap mod platform instead of starting a build from scratch.

Thanks and yes I used the screws from the pedals. The bracket holes are beveled ( I forgot the term) perfectly to allow the pedal screws to be able to reach. I did have to remove the rubber backing off the Joyo pedals though but it was easy and they came off clean so I can put them back if I ever want to.

Out of the 22 OD's I have, that Joyo is my absolute favorite for goosing other pedals. The mids aren't quite as stark as my Tubescreamer and I like that about it.

Using this board in 4cm with my EVH 5153 is excellent. The green channel is extremely easy to dial in for pedals and the delays and clean boost from the Mosky are a huge addition. It turns this amp into a 5 channel amp. The Vintage OD is perfect for the blue and red channels to liquify things. I'm having a blast. The Freedman makes this thing sound like a super hot rodded JCM800. The King of Drive is set for edge of breakup and it's sounding great too.

What this does do though is makes me want to replace the Mosky with a Delay/Reverb pedal and incorporate my Seymour Duncan pickup booster as a clean boost. I have used the SD in that capacity before and it's fantastic for that. I really miss having reverb. I do have a Caline somewhere that has at least delay and chorus but I dont remember if it has reverb.

Alternately I could probably fit the MX5 on there if I re-arranged everything but I wanted to keep this board all analog and something under 500 bucks (just for my own reasons) and that will spoil those 2 things.

Hey, that's looks pretty swell for a budget board!

My only gripe with such DIY endeavours, even if they're carried out beautifully: what are you using for transport and storage?

It's going to be a suitcase lined with egg crate foam. Prefer like an old beat up looking one thats functional. Just to add to the cheese factor. Been perusing thrift shops for a candidate.

I did that once, and got props wherever I took it. That was over a decade ago, I felt like the proto-hipster trash suitcase board guy. 😂😂😂

I found an old brown leather suitcase near the road, upon a quick check turned out to be clean and in good condition, so I decided to cut out a thin piece of plywood that fit snugly, stuck lots of velcro on that, and there it was! Best 10€ ever spent.

Awesome. If I do find one the right size it's gonna get all kinds of stickers and such too.
