Whatcha guys recommend?

Looking to potentially replace necks in both my LP and 594. Complimenting more “modern” bridge pickups in both guitars

I like variety too so entertaining multiple options

I generally like Seymour Duncan’s, but with a strong enough case could potentially splurge on something like a BKP.

Do you mean lean and clean or fat and clean, sparkly high end?
You know me though, I'll more than likely recommend something from Dimarzio. :rofl

Hmm good question, I’m a treble junkie and have a feeling that I might lean more towards somethings “thin” than “fat”. Definitely want sparkly. Also important to note that chances are high I’ll be coil tapping when in use as well. Unless it has some sort of magic on its own

Surprisingly I’ve NEVER once had a dimarzio pickup… kind of shocking tbh l…

Lollar El Rayo. The neck model runs about 3.5k.
I guess I should have mentioned that I had a set in my Strat. I didn’t like the bridge pickup. It was just way too open. I mean i like dynamic pickups but it went too far. It seemed you literally couldn’t reach the top no matter how you beat on the strings.

However, the neck pickup is great. I should have kept the neck pickup but it was a set.

They’re bright.

My top 3, no particular order:
EJ Custom - a bit more jangle
Air Classic - balanced, "warmest" of the three
Humbucker From Hell - more definition and clarity.

All of them are vintage output and on the brighter side. Not too forward in the midrange. I've never tried them coil tapped though, but my hunch is the Air Classic might be a better suited for that.
