I was going to upgrade my MC6 Pro to an MC8 Pro and get the ML10X; but ... changed my mind!

I’ve had a MC8 for a while now, running it into the AXE3. Nothing it couldn’t do. I miss the standalone configuration software vs. having to use a Chrome browser to configure it but otherwise it has been rock solid.

I thought you liked to tap dance now?

I had literally just read the thread and thought "it'll be interesting to hear Orv's thoughts on the morningstar switcher once he's had it for a while".

I backed out of the thread and the title had already changed to Morningstar no longer incoming :rofl

Fucking legend :beer
It's just gonna be too much isn't it! I'm gonna get wrapped up in a bit of gear for a month or two, then realise it didn't fix the issue, it introduced more complications, it pisses me off in this way, that way, the other way.

I just aint got the headspace for it right now.

And for what?? Not because I struggled to hit a switch, I didn't. I just completely forgot to turn it off and left a huge 10minute ambient reverb on for half a song! (Oopsie!) - it aint the right fix, I just got home super fucked off with myself and grabbed the closest sledgehammer (metaphorrrrrrrr)

No I completely get it. The more I'm out playing music instead of mucking about at home the less gear I'm actually using. I'm looking for a new board at the minute because the few pedals I'm using look pretty silly on such a big board.

I'm basically down to Fuzz, Boost, Chorus and DD500 now. I had a bunch of other stuff on there which I muck about with at home but don't actually use when playing out.

I find the more engaged I am with writing and being productive the less shit I need or want about me. I'm even back to using the same guitar I used to gig and record with. I'm pretty tempted to start moving some stuff on tbh.

I'm not gonna flog owt, but I'm not looking to add anything right now. I just need to figure out the best way to use what I've got!

I might move on some guitars, maybe. I'll probably sit on them but they're definitely not getting used.

I still need to add a reverb, neither of the amps available in the rehearsal space we used last week had it and I do have some ambient parts that would benefit from more than delay.

I was going to add another delay pedal but tbh don't think I need it. With the dd500 able to run two delays at once another one is probably unnecessary.
