Yeah, in truth, I doubt the Mayer plugin is particularly revolutionary for the individual tones. However, the ease with which you can have a 3 amp setup seems fun and novel.

Pearl Jam in general is barf city for a multitude of reasons. But I cannot lie and say that seeing them on their first tour, opening for the Chilis (on Blood Sugar) and Smashing Pumpkins. You wanna talk about alt-rock perfection? That was a show!

I'd love an Archetype: Grunge, with different amps and pedals from PJ, Nirvana, STP, AiC, etc. NDSP wouldn't put it all in one plug-in though. Wouldn't want to provide too much value for $150-$200.

When I think of Mike McCready tone I think of a modernized mashup of SRV & Hendrix. During the grunge era he was still cranking 100w Superleads full tilt on stage.
