Oh man. Hooked up with Avantone and they shot over the BV1 MKII. Review will be dropping soon. Directly compared to 2 other tube mics and the Avantone has a nicer top end. Fantastic on female vocal and believe it or not sounded good on the Mezzabarba Skill 30. Fingerpicked guitar was amazing, too.
Also received the Beyerdynamic Ribbon M160 as well as their Dynamic TG201. Both seem well worth the price of admission. Th ribbon mic punches above its price point for sure. The 201 is everything I love about a 57 without having to EQ it.
