Its hard to give a definitive answer at this point because the purple HSS is currently on its way back to Anderson for warranty repair.

I just got it two weeks ago and discovered the fret buzz issue the day after it arrived. It probably just needs a fret level, but there is a possibility that the neck itself has warped. The chances that the neck is warped are low considering that this one is roasted maple. Also, Anderson cuts their dried neck blanks on the CNC and lets them sit for a whole month to acclimate before continuing with the work. I'd wager that the person doing the fretwork pressed in the frets at the end of the day and then forgot to do the leveling before they did the crown and polish the next morning.

My current thought is that the HSS will become my favorite of the two once the fretwork is up to par. I love having true single coil and humbucker tones available at the flick of a switch, I favor a floating bridge most of the time, and the sparkle plum finish is a sight to behold.

The orange one is awesome as well and its a total rock machine. It has a 24.75 inch scale length, hotter pickups, and the trem is decked so I can tune it to drop D on the fly and do proper oblique bends. It weighs 6.71 pounds and the action is low making for a very comfortable playing experience.

I think I've said so before, and I usually really don't give all that much on the looks of whatever guitars as long as they're functional and not fugly, but that Paisley mosaic Tele is really just looking damn incredible. And imagining how the mosaic feels only adds to that. I'd possibly like it even more with a rosewood fretboard (but maybe not), and I'd prefer silver knobs.
 
Thank you @Sascha Franck I intentionally mixed gold and silver bits and you are probably right... I just felt the speeds sat nice on the nickel cavity cover. It does feel interesting (and not at all uncomfortable) on the hand though I am wishing two things in hindsight... an arm bevel and I should have carved a small channel around the edge so the outer ring of crystals doesn't sit proud.
Guitar is currently on display (not for sale) at a local mom and pop.
 
@la szum thanks for the suggestion amigo, honestly two of those (and some others) were done a decade ago. I since focused most of my creative output in a different direction though my custom theme guitar hobby did shape my current reality in a major way.

I do have a HB CUS-24 kit waiting for inspiration, (likely this winter), it'll be another crystal gem top w/matching headstock. I suppose I could also detail past projects in my ongoing DIY section thread in coming months if there's an appetite for such things and I can dig up a few old project pics. But honestly, I watch current custom projects online... my old work pales in comparison to what some are pulling off these days. Just nuts!

I slowed down because of health risks due to spraying and guitars were piling up 'cause I couldn't bear to release them into the wild.

I was hesitant to post... I get a sense such types of arty customizations aren't really favoured flavors here on TGF, so thank you for showing interest in that sort of craft.
