Had one of these before. Loved it. Other than the treadplate. But ironically; it will match the BL so it all makes sense again!
:rollsafe

What's great about it (beyond being switchless) is it has a built in clean boost so when you step on it; you can configure a volume bump so you don't drop out. I'm going to need a few more pedalboards apparently :oops::rofl

Those are great! I love the Morley Optical Wahs. Have the Lynch Dragon Wah and both Bad Horsie versions.

The only thing I miss about a Crybaby style with the switch is the half-cocked Wah tones where you can
leave the Wah on and not mess with it. Have to keep your foot on the Morleys and hold it there in one
spot before you eventually fall over and lose your balance.

Me too. I have the Horsie 1 (too mellow), the 2 (JESUSCHRISTSOBRIGHT), the Tremonti (treadplate ugh but that boost when you hit the wah is perfect) and the Maverick mini (little small and not too obvious of a wah). There is a Kiko wah in glow in the dark green that I want but it's a tweaked Maverick I am betting and the size and lack of volume boost vs. the Tremonti made the Tremonti the better fit. I think at least :|

At least it is not the American Eagle version. Not that there is anything wrong with Eagles. :idk

I have yet to find a Wah to reign over them all. Like so much gear, very little is perfect and ticks all the boxes. Sometimes
have to settle for the stuff that ticks the most boxers, or the most important ones.

Now I feel like there needs to be some Porn Wah (Chicka-Chicka) in this week's Challenge. :banana

I loved my old Vox for the Shaft soundtrack stuff! Other than the footswitch aspect. I pretty much killed it. The Morley was a godsend when it came out. The Bad Horsie sweep is pretty narrow and is more suited for the high gains vs. Barry White covers.

Hahaha the treadplate is what I dig the most about it. :rofl That said, I’ve never played one. Two not-so-great Bad Horsie experiences in a row and I was done with Morley’s. Not even the Vai fanboy in me would apologize enough for them.:rofl

I had the OG for YEARS. It eventually wore out. They sent me some replacement parts for a used one I bought here like 3-4 years ago and I frankensteined the crap out of 2 to make 1 working wah. The housing pushed up into the top piece and the power port died at a certain point as well. Must have been rocking too hard :chef :bag :banana

My first one just folded sideways when I stepped on it, maybe 2 days after I had it. Must have had a nasty weakness somewhere in the metal. Then the second one’s optic-something sh*t the bed and it wouldn’t shut off. I tried messing with the little tab inside but couldn’t get it working, I gave it to my guitar player, he fixed it and still uses it….that was in ‘98.

Yep! OLD AF! That metal housing was borderline tinfoil :rofl

Count me among former owners. That thing has a big footprint, literally. I moved it on when I discovered controllers on the AxeFx.

Had a Bad Horise back in the day, loved the format. If I ever get the itch for a wah again I'm definitely looking at Morley first.

That wah looks hella fun. :clint

I highly recommend trying the EVH wah too, if you get the chance. Sounds really great with higher gain leads and has cool blue LEDs that show when it's on. Also the bumblebee stripes are super cool, in my opinion. It does have a switch, though.

It is nice. Brighter than the Bad Horsie I but not as bright as the II. Has a good sweep to it, too.

I'd like to try the EVH as well as the Petrucci but the switch just kinda puts it off my radar.
