Kiesel Kyber Build

This ones a tearjerker but we lost our 13.5 year old corgi (Red) in June. The meshing of worlds between spending irrational money on guitar gear and wanting something to tribute him came together with this custom build. Only had the guitar for a couple days but as far as I can tell the finish and everything is perfect on it, plays like a dream with no issues. I'll make a video about it soon but thought I'd share it here before "blasting socials".

I call this one a death guitar cause it'll never move out of my collection, I'm stoked to have something around here to remember him daily.

How did you work out that paw inlay with Kiesel?

That wood and hardware color combination looks very classy.

That wood and hardware color combination looks very classy.

They had a paw print inlay on one of their other models (it’s not on the builder). So I emailed them and asked.

Yeah I went through a few versions of what would look cool, combos of orange and white but in the end that wood finish with roasted maple neck and richlite black fingerboard was awesome. I contemplated a lighter fingerboard but the balance was a bit off to my eyes.

Brutal as . Everyone’s mindset and situation is different but we’re not gonna have kids and we got him through covid and he’s been at home daily with me for 5 years, big hole left which sucks.

We’ll probably get a new dog in 1-2 years after a big honeymoon next year. But yeah these things are always terrible

These dogs are our kids. The thing that sucks is we can’t directly communicate with them, but they always know we love them. Your dog knew that, believe me.
