I do like Reb Beach and his playing. And I used to get into some Winger and other “hair bands.” But this isn’t doing it for me.

Even the production (which has always been a Winger strongsuit) is painstakingly bad.

The mix is too subdued.

The riffs have potential to be much heavier, no bottom end thump even in the bass or bass drum.

Gain starts to get better on Reb's tone (my preference) in the Pre-Chorus/Chorus, but too low compressed in the main section.

Needs more Rob Halford, screaming for vengeance era vocal energy at a minimum.

I lasted a hair over a minute before I hit stop, it was tough to go that long.

But it's cool that they're playing together again.

You’re not missing anything. I know JT was eagerly awaiting the next Winger release, so I just expedited the process

Winger is like Star Wars to me. The fact that they want to keep going, and making stuff, alone is good enough for me to be excited about it, and love it, good, bad, or meh.

I have always liked Kip’s voice and writing too, so there’s that.

Haven‘t seen Strange New Worlds yet, but I really like Discovery. Picard was a major disappointment, though.
