Pulled from a GW article:

"His list of injuries included a broken vertebrae, knee and shoulder damage, and a facial injury that required 29 stitches and “a bit of nose reconstruction”. Scott stresses he is “fine”, but understandably states he will be taking some time away from the JHS YouTube channel while he mounts a full recovery."

Pretty crazy that he turned his face into a Pulp N Peel. Good luck Josh!

Been reading his recovery posts, it sounds pretty scary but glad he's okay enough to post. Cycling honestly scares me with how fast you're going and how little protection you have.

Watching Josh and his crew jam, shows he's in it not just for the $$. He loves what he does and makes some great product.
Best wishes for a fast recovery. Cycling scares me as a motorist as well. Not an indictment toward him but plenty of amateurs on the road make for many unpredictible situations for an everyday driver. Plus there are the same a-holes that give no respect to motorcyclists as well.

Yeah, for a long time I was totally pro “Give cyclists a bike lane!” because I used to ride so much in the city I knew how it was, but since then it seems the overwhelming majority of cyclists I see on the side of the road are doing all they can to ride OUTSIDE the damn bike lane……and don’t get me started on the Boston cyclists who kick cars and shit. My former brother-in-law used to bring that up with pride.

If some cyclist kicked my car, he would be carrying the mangled remains of his bike home over his shoulder. And I give those fuckers plenty of room, too, because in my area they carry an added level of entitlement along with their selective obeying of the rules of the road.

I used to live in this 'Nouveau riche" town in Mass, Medfield(next to old money Dover). Starter Castle neighborhoods, new money families sending their kids to private school, even though the public school was top 10 rated in the state.
Every evening and weekends there would be a squadron of 20-30 cyclists treating the road like it was their priviledge and any cars were an inconvience that had to wait for them to finish their ride to nowhere. With their $5K bikes and ridiculous spandex outfits, playing mid-life crisis Tour de France.
I made good money as did my 2nd (now ex) wife and we were considered poor. She got caught up in the social competition of what did you drive, where did your kids go to college. It's suprising the marriage lasted as long as it did. :grin

Anyways, I hate those cycling F'rs with a passion, but a single or pair of cyclist that are obviously just getting some exercise, I will do my best to give as wide a path as is safe.

ouch... thats a gnarly wreck.

always sad to see cyclist hate, but i know its just another extension of disgust at the nouveau riche entitlement assholery everywhere. i genuinely dont think its cycling anybodys mad at... just assholes. ive been riding peacibly for 40 years, and ive sure seen enough idiocy from cars AND from other cyclists to just be careful and cognizant of the fact we all share the same roads and try to give wide berth where it's due.

I’ve had 7 broken bones and I’ve got screws holding one of my knees together from my younger days as a cyclist. The worst part is when they use that high powered squirt gun to clean the gravel out of the wounds in the ER. That hurt worse than the crashes, haha

Glad he’s OK, wishing him a speedy recovery.

Big guys always hit harder when they come off bikes even if no one else is involved.
Bit like mothers running in there children’s school sports day parents running race.
