Even if you’re not into his music, I’d recommend going to see him live. I just missed him this weekend with Richie Kotzen, damnit! I saw him open for Ryche a couple years ago and much like a Buckethead show, it was fun and full of killer playing. My cousin doesn’t even play and he’s caught him every time he comes through NH because he always has a great time.
I’d like to hear him now that he’s onto EVH stuff, I wonder how much of a tonal change there’s been. That’s my only gripe with him, I’m rarely digging his tones.
Dude is definitely a testament of being a good dude and consistent player, the only people I’ve heard say anything bad about him are dolts on the internet.

I would love to see him!!
I love his videos and interviews and such. Never seen him live but have watched a lot of videos and it looks like such a fun show with awe-inspiring playing. Really cool that even a non-guitarist enjoys it that much.
