Blues legend John Mayall has died at 90 years old. The "Beano" album will live in infamy. It contained classic Eric Clapton.

Oh no, that's sad . It was just a couple days ago that I was reading a few different posts on a couple of these forums about him still being active. He mentored a few of the great British guitarists from the '60s like Clapton, Peter Green and Mick Taylor.

Saw him in the late '80s or early '90s with Coco Montoya on guitar at the Palomino Club in Southern California (that's gone too). Mayall was playing keyboards and guitar through a Roland JC-120 Jazz Chorus amp. He put on a great show.
