The pedal industry has certainly jumped the shark immensely (especially as of late), but not nearly as bad as WCW jumping the shark by having Bret Hart debut as a special guest referee after the (not) Montreal Screwjob (it was a worked shoot), and botching the finish to Hogan vs Sting in Sting's first match in something like 18 months.
