Class A; No presence knob. Possibly. I think you'd dig this little guy.I don’t know much about the topology of the Supro, but I wonder if it has less negative feedback than the Fenders

HmmF that! Fractal in 4cm!!
Cool amp!
He read my mind -- he saw the effects loop and knew exaaaaaactly how my brain stumbled through this purchase decision.Hmm, how about happy new amp day?
I know there's no negative feedback in the Thunderbolt. I'm scanning through other older models and not seeing any NFB either. I like amps without, especially the older tweed circuits.I don’t know much about the topology of the Supro, but I wonder if it has less negative feedback than the Fenders

Tone knob on that one = gain knob.Fwiw, the Supro model in Helix has been my latest, favorite model. Cleans and eob tones are.
Not quite the real thing though..![]()
It was a combination of encouragement to plug that vintage 225 into what ever he likes (from someone who does the same with vintage guitars),Hmm, how about happy new amp day?
Afaik that uncommon, i ran into a few others. To me an advantage. When you use it as a powered speaker, you don’t have to plug into a hot input (=noise reduction), and when you use it in a stereo setup, you use it to balance volumes between amps.It is before the master volume which is a little odd,
Wouldn’t the axe cover that?..or are you aiming a board to go with that amp?Using my Volante with it for reverb, but might need to get a Flint for Trem.
Will use it with and without the Axe. The Fractal primarily lives in my home office/jam space in a detached garage about twenty meters behind our house on the back edge of our property. The primary driver for the amp was wanting to having something small and inconspicuous to play through in the house. I don’t want the clutter of even a small pedalboard. But a single pedal powered by a single little 9 volt power supply that doesn’t need to be pulled out onto the floor is fine. I don’t need dirt pedals and fuzz and delay and rotary speaker etc., etc., for this kind of playing, but reverb and ideally tremolo are really nice to have. I snagged a used Keeley Hydra off reverb for a buck fifty last night - so $600 all in on this side rig that’s flexible enough to also work in 4cm with the AxeFx is great.Wouldn’t the axe cover that?..or are you aiming a board to go with that amp?
As I’ve thought about this more, it’s an interesting choice for an amp aimed at working with pedals. Curious whether running reverb in the loop will give the sound of amp reverb while still letting me plug straight into the front of the amp.Afaik that uncommon, i ran into a few others. Afaik the position of the MV doesn’t matter with regards to sound. You get preamp out in both scenarios, and whatever is between the MV and the powersection is most likely not “soundshaping”…just level. As I’ve thought about this more, it’s an interesting choice for an amp aimed at working with pedals. Check the supersonic 22 also! Deluxe housing, I assume same powersection, 2 channels, burn has a MV, efx loop, clean channel has a vibro and a bassman mode.I've not really checked out these newer Supros but this is really interesting. I've been half-heatedly trying to find an alternative for using a Deluxe Reverb live for a while, the effects loop and master volume in this wattage/size make these really appealing....
Less scooped than a DRRI. Breakup is a little more towards the Vox side of things than Fender. Solid State Rectifier probably explains why it feels less compressed than the Princeton Reverb style amps I usually plug into. Dunno how loud in can go clean -- not gonna burn my ears out trying that. But seems like probably at least as loud as a Deluxe? They do make models with built in reverb and/or tremolo if that matters to you. This 1x10 is noticeably smaller than a Princeton (and twice the watts).I've not really checked out these newer Supros but this is really interesting. This is an older model with the Eminence-made Supro branded speaker. Actually works quite well, though I imagine a cream back would be great too. At $600-ish used from GC, etc., it's a solid bargain of an amp. I snagged a used Keeley Hydra for verb/trem so I'm $600 all in on this rig, which is waaaaaaay cheaper than used PRRIs go for these days.I love the looks of Supro amps! And it has a 10" Creamback?
I don't need another amp
