If a guy wanted to get into Synergy mods...

IMO they should aim to make SYN2 a helluva lot cheaper. 959 € w/ VAT is ridiculous for a rack box with the hardware to connect two modules.

It should be one of those things you buy because you have a pile of modules and would like to use them easily rather than swapping them all the time. Thus you get a cheap-ish SYN2 and slap them in it. Gives people more incentive to buy more modules.
Or they include a module with the purchase of it.
The initial outlay is what probably puts people off.

That would definitely be enticing. I was eyeballing a used deal where ya got a Syn20 and SLO module for about a grand. Someone else grabbed it, but it was calling my name. 😂

Which then probably leads to "well can't I just buy the SYN2 for less?"

Now that I think of it, Synergy should totally offer bundle deals. Maybe you save a tiny bit over buying them individually.

From your lips to Gods ears.

And 100 watt. With a Simple clean.
That would be a pretty epic product. Agree that if they do another head they should try to cram a clean channel in if possible, that way you don't sacrifice a slot on some module for cleans if mostly want dirt variations.

But then again: The old RM100 had three slots and according to a quick google search someone on the MTS forum said it is 11x11x31 at 73lbs with three modules...

The Syn site lists the 50 as 10x10x25.25" at 42lbs

So I'd have to wonder how big and costly a decked out 100W would run which might limit its market.

Right now, I guess I don't care too much as I have 2x Syn2s + the 100W KSR. So I have virtual 4 slot 100W Syn rig already built. Being a consolidated head is not a huge selling point for me personally but can understand why others may want that.

I don't really expect them to price the Syn2 downward, more likely they may build a new version with more stuff and price it up some if they add the digital back end stuff to it some how (not sure how as crammed as that thing is both front and back).

I almost think at this point that the only way they could really do the big watt amp right would be to ignore a section of the market. I mean, there are dudes in the D&M sub that think the AxeFx is too big for home use. :ROFLMAO: I’d imagine the dudes that would be desirous of an uber-Syn-head aren’t the dudes weighing dental floss before adding it to their hiking pack. (And oddly enough, heads seem to be rapidly becoming a home thing vs live, almost kind of flipping roles with digital)

Having done the portable lunchbox head, I’d hope they’d be free to go wild with the big head, but I agree, the market for that sort of thing may be rapidly shrinking.
