1u, 48" deepI actually think the SYN2 went up in price, because when I bought it, it was $799 I thought.
Its a brilliant form factor at 1U, maybe they know that we know that.![]()

Load it up with 4 IIC models and give it to your guitaristWould be killer to see something the size of the SYN50 that holds 4 modules.

Or they include a module with the purchase of it.IMO they should aim to make SYN2 a helluva lot cheaper. 959 € w/ VAT is ridiculous for a rack box with the hardware to connect two modules.
It should be one of those things you buy because you have a pile of modules and would like to use them easily rather than swapping them all the time. Thus you get a cheap-ish SYN2 and slap them in it. Gives people more incentive to buy more modules.
That would definitely be enticing. I was eyeballing a used deal where ya got a Syn20 and SLO module for about a grand. Someone else grabbed it, but it was calling my name.Or they include a module with the purchase of it.
The initial outlay is what probably puts people off.
Which then probably leads to "well can't I just buy the SYN2 for less?"Or they include a module with the purchase of it.

That would be a pretty epic product. Agree that if they do another head they should try to cram a clean channel in if possible, that way you don't sacrifice a slot on some module for cleans if mostly want dirt variations. From your lips to Gods ears.
And 100 watt. With a Simple clean.
Well they have certainly done that with IR20.Now that I think of it, Synergy should totally offer bundle deals. Maybe you save a tiny bit over buying them individually.

But then again: The old RM100 had three slots and according to a quick google search someone on the MTS forum said it is 11x11x31 at 73lbs with three modules...
The Syn site lists the 50 as 10x10x25.25" at 42lbs
So I'd have to wonder how big and costly a decked out 100W would run which might limit its market.
One on my local FB with 2 modules for $1k currently. That would definitely be enticing. I was eyeballing a used deal where ya got a Syn20 and SLO module for about a grand. Someone else grabbed it, but it was calling my name.![]()
That’s an awesome deal. What modules? One on my local FB with 2 modules for $1k currently.
It sold but it was with the VH4. Not 2 of them sorry. That’s an awesome deal. What modules?

Matters where you are playing IMHO, I only play at home and I don't turn it up to any volume that it would start farting out at.That 20 watt power turd section isn't going to do any heavy lifting to make the heavy modules
come to life. I. Don't. Get. It. The majourity of heavy ass tones need some serious power amp
Oooomph to come to life. And I love low-wattage amps. Just not for the heavies.![]()
If only there was some way to use the modules with a power section of your own choosing. We can dream I guess. That 20 watt power turd section isn't going to do any heavy lifting to make the heavy modules

I have a syn1 and ps2 using self attenuation going into my fractal for dynacab and post processing - sounds greatI'm thinking of trying a SYN-1 or SYN-20IR with my PS-2A and QC 4cm. But it seems a good time to wait, as I suspect (as many do), that there's something new on the horizon.
Have had my Laney Ironheart 60 for 6 months (only current amp), and it's been great until I got back into Viking Metal, lmao. I cannot get a really saturated high gain tone that doesn't sound like ass. When at the point of, "close as I can get", there's also a metriccrap-ton of noise that no combination of noise gates and gain staging can remove.
So I've been mostly using my QC, swapping between a 6505, Bogner Uber or Nameless into my monitors and sometimes into my PS-2A 4cm.
I thought the same and sold my first Synergy setup to just use my Axe-FX and am really glad to be back to using real amps. Was planning on using the Axe-FX alone for a recent show at a place with limited stage area, but my bass player showed up for rehearsal when I was finishing up dialing in a patch and said “That’s not your usual tone!” I still tried to use it for practice and only made it through about the first verse of one song before I fired up an amp. It's that freaking up front cost of entry----and then $400 a pop for every preamp module.
I'd stick to my modeler/capture device and hone in a better power amp/cab option, or options.
