Ibanez Alpha series

Apparently "self-awareness" isn't in Herman Li's skillsets.

I like them also and the price point is not too bad. My only concern is every Ibanez 7 string I have played I have not been able to gel with for some reason and I have been an Ibanez guy for decades. I even tried an Iceman 7 and I couldn't connect with it. I have been playing an an Iceman since the 80s. My Schecter 7s, I totally connect with.

They use 9 string pickups. I guess that's to make sure the strings are covered while in a slanted position.
Ooh, didn’t realize it but that might be a pain to play with the end of the bridge PU sticking out like that.

Also now I noticed the blade switch position right between the PUs. Could also be a cumbersome placement.

Y'all need to work on your technique if you think you are going to be hitting the pickups or switch.

I don't like the knob - switch - knob arrangment though. I'd probably want to change it to knob - knob - switch because I use my tone knob a good amount.

This ”demo” of the Alpha almost made me LOL at work. Super stupid but the ”music” from the future is kind of how Carbomb and other more out there metal is probably perceived by many.

It’s basically a 7 minute skit, just to preface.

Wow, Herman Li is a hypocritical douche.

I HAVE to believe that was tongue in cheek. If not, then I have to assume something went down with him and Ibanez, but there’s no way this guy doesn’t acknowledge he just had PRS build an Ibanez S model.

Edit- I didn’t see his ChatGPT post previously. Humans never stop blowing me away in the worst of ways.
