I Want a Headless

My Aristides is no stiffer than my GL tuners .
That's good to know! I'm very interested in a H/06, my hesitation is that I have read several accounts that the H Series specifically goes out of tune once the instrument warms up. This makes no sense to me since it is a composite instrument and should be impervious to humidity changes that cause the neck to move. Have you experienced this issue at all with yours?

No but I have not tried one that someone says has that issue. I would like to get ahold of one that is displaying this and see what is happening. I can’t imagine the neck is moving or the material is not temperature stable.

YouTuber Andre Fludd (who shares my taste for innovation in guitars and hardware) prefers the Hipshot headless bridge because of how similar it is to a traditional bridge, which apparently makes setup a breeze. Anyone have any experience with one?

Yes , not a particular fan because they are not as good sounding. They are easy to set up but that’s not the most important part. The Hantug bridge is the highest quality and the ABM on the Hydra is good too. They all have issues being headless.

ABM definitely makes good quality hardware. Too bad they don't make a headless trem. Some other intriguing headless trem options are Technology For Musicians https://www.technologyformusicians.com/ and Sophia https://sophiatremolos.com/

This is the trem option on the Hydra. This is pretty good on a headless but it’s limited to single scaled instruments.
The Sophia stuff is made by Ping Well in Taiwan and appears to be of high quality (I’ve never had the opportunity to try one of their bridges). I’d be curious to hear what your thoughts are on the EverTune?

I was able to try the Hipshot headless trem on this Schecter Synyster Gates signature model and I was not impressed. Perhaps it was just setup this way for his sig model, but it was super stiff. Is this what they normally feel like? Aesthetically it’s not my thing either. The string lock was nice though.

See how many springs in the back. If you can get enough tension from two stretched springs in / \ this configuration that is going to be the loosest.,
