Forgot the Blackstar Dept. 10 Booster I have. Class A with a tune. This reminds me of it look-wise.

That Hamstead Zenith looks crazy nice! A bit expensive at $405 in the US but dang it’s sweet looking! In digital units I mostly use EQ blocks, sometimes just a few db volume, sometimes with some EQ.
Whatever you use, anything with a flexible EQ will get you a lot more out of 1 drive stage.
Analog ive been using 2:
Jackson audio Bloom. EQ, Boost, Compressor, midi controlable, different types of compression, good sounding pedal.
Also a Hamstead Zentith, EQ and compressor, also a nice sounding unit.
340,- in euro’s…not shure what euro/dollar does…but compareable. That Hamstead Zenith looks crazy nice! A bit expensive at $405 in the US but dang it’s sweet looking!
Your so easy to talk into buying stuffI can already feel the money leaving my wallet Guys! You have certainly delivered AND surprised me.
Glad I’m not alone that boost are underrated by some. They are righteous.
I love the ZIO. I agree on the Plumes, it’s juicy that way.My favorite combo lately is the ZIO into a Kelley Compressor with the blend knob turned pretty far down. Plumes with the no diodes is cool too.
The Ibanez 5 band parametric I listed is phenomenal at boosting. Surgical. Sometimes I want character though. An EQ pedal can make an amazing boost, particularly if you don’t want the extra compression many boosts add. Bonus that you get a half dozen bands you can use to cut some bass and push the mids and treble to tighten things up.
I’ve recently come around to appreciate the Klon via a Centura klone. Amazing through anything that compresses when hit hard.
Honorable mention for the Rat, which makes a KILLER boost. Put one through a rectifier head and it’s devastating.
