Humming noise boss pedalboard

I have a Fender Player Plus Strat HSS MN connected to Boss pedals (Boss SD-1, Boss CH-1, Boss DD-8, and Boss IR-2). The Boss pedals are connected to the mixing console via the Boss IR-2. When everything is plugged in, we get a humming noise. What could be causing this? I had the same issue with a Boss Gx-100. I tried an other guitar but still the same. Anyone ??

Do you get the hum when just the HB is selected on the Strat? How are you powering the pedals? What kind of cables are you using? Does the noise persist when you run straight to an amp instead of the mixing console? If you just plug one pedal in at a time, do you get the noise from each of those pedals?

On my DI-box I have an "ground lift". COuld it be that this is the problem? If I deactivate it than I think it is solved. Normally the HB would give less noise than the other pickups or I'm I wrong ?

I asked about the pickups to determine if you're just hearing 60 cycle hum from single coil pickups (which is inherent). The HB uses a reverse wound single coil stacked up against the active single coil to buck that hum, so yes the HB should defintely be quieter.

Whenever I get a hum or a no-sound issue, I go backward through my pedalboard hooking up one pedal at a time and checking the signal at the amp - this will help you identify which one is the problem child - could be the pedal itself, but usually its a cable or power issue.

Could definitely be a ground issue you're experiencing, and if you shut off the ground lift and the hum goes away, you're gold Ponyboy!

Good luck!
