Right now I’m digging the NUX Edge, dotted 8ths (? Dotted something) and a DIGI-TECH Obscura, the Obscura has a lot of options, I like the tape with degradation pretty high. And reverse of course.
An easy fix is to use a ducking delay with leads which lowers the repeats while you are playing runs and increases when you stop or hold notes. It keeps the repeats out of your way while you are playing so your lead isn't buried in repeat soup.
