How are you controlling humidity?

What are you all doing to control the environment where you store your guitars?

I'm in north Georgia, and only need to worry about low humidity during times the heat is on, generally Nov-Apr. All my stuff is in my small office, and so I just have a small floor unit to humidify. Two wall sensors just for piece of mind.

LEVOIT Superior 6000S Smart Evaporative Humidifier. I tried the ultrasonic ones but our water is very hard and they produced a white fine dust that drives me nuts.

Currently nothing special, though A/C here in Texas (DFW area) tries to keep internal humidity at 45%.

Drops to around 35% in winter months due to heater usage.

Here in northern WI I have a room in my basement which I can control either with a dehumidifier or a 750w space heater. Both work but the dehumidifier is noisy and probably uses more power than the space heater, which I have set at 71 degrees and doesn't run much, so I use the heater. Nothing to empty either. It's kind of a half basement with about 1/3 above ground level and it gets fairly humid in summer even if the AC is running. Room stays around 50%. In winter I use a Vornado wick humidifier.

It's an act of futility to even try in a Florida summer.
