Looks like a DOD Boneshaker... they missed an opportunity to run with DAD BOD-Shaker
I've wanted to try one of these for a while now, would be interesting to compare them (I'd still rather the DOD but interesting to hear differences)

Here since it likely belongs in this category, got the Mosky Blue Flame and Demon FX Simple. First is slightly larger than second and looks cooler to me. Both are lower gain than might be expected like the original. During my test the Moskey sounded best when used as a standalone. Plexi style on the MS Brit. The DemonFX sounded best as a power amp section fed with dirt. Nothing awful, nothing special.

I think I might be completely over with inexpensive analog pedals and just might focus on the modeling side. The Hotone Ampero II Stage and Nux Amp Core Studio have convinced me that’s where the mojo lies. Might just spill over to my more expensive analog pedals. It will be difficult to let go of some for sure. Prolly keep a few. Just like my amps.

I still prefer analog boosts into amps for high gain stuff, but if you’re using digital then digital boosts are totally fine. Analog boost into digital units are so/so. Sometimes it feels like you’ve unlocked a cheat mode and other times it’s just slamming the input in a not so great way (I just keep them separate).

For analog boosts I still just like run of the mill or reasonably priced stuff. I don’t buy that a pedal for 3-4x the price is doing anything that differently. On the other hand the super cheap stuff like Demonfx is a fun novelty but I always question it so I just don’t like it. Things like a jhs bonsai, dirty tree, or a dod boneshaker are all fairly priced for what you get, don’t feel the need to go up or down the ladder of price ranges/quality

I’ve tried “this should be great for the money”…never worked out, simply cause…end of the line..I want the best I can get my hands on/afford.
In my mind, when you have your basics covered, buying generic stuff has little chance to add value, and if you want to keep fiddling with gear, maybe focus on “best in class”, or on stuff that does really special things, has more chance to add value.
Doesn’t mean it has to be boutique stuff btw..sometimes it simply doesn’t get better then a Boss pedal ;)

Boss have such a market-share that they can afford to make excellent pedals at excellent prices. They last forever, are built like a tank and have the best switches (except my RC-10!) for clumsy oafs like me.

Looking at my Strymon, Meris and EQD delay/reverbs... and wondering why I didn't buy Boss...

A DD-8 and a RV-6 would probably cover all my "needs". Ooh, look at that SDE-3...

When in doubt or its a new type of pedal to you, buy/try Boss. Advice I should heed myself.
