Apparently all I had to do was start a thread to jog the memory. Tim, not Todd:

Two months ago a guitarist popped up in a generated Spotify playlist that I really liked. Thought I added it somewhere where I'd remember, but can't. I THINK @AFKAEjay(retired) might be able to help?

- Was European; I think Dutch
- played a t-style guitar with single bridge hum bucker in a natural wood finish - maybe redwood?
- Trio format -- drum, bass, guitar. Sort of a Bill Frissell meets John Scofield kind of vibe?
- He played a tube preamp pedal/overdrive that was huge and the maker of the pedal had a demo on YouTube of him playing it. Their website was all in...Dutch? Scandinavian of some sort? Don't think it was German. Was definitely not in English :). They seemed sold out and not likely to be in stock anytime soon. Was definitely a D-style sound.
- I THINK his first name started with a "T", and was a name that could pass as English? MAYBE Todd or something similar?

You found the guy ;)

Also the pedal? The only Dutch D style pedal I can think of is this one: (but website in english)

I assumed you’d be happy to either find someone else listening to him, or to be introduced to him, so kept the thread alive. The pedal company:

People lending their ear to jazz always makes me happy!

Players like this also. I hear the aim to make something beautifull in his music, free from “muscle” and conventions that sometimes stick to “jazz”.
If you like this, maybe also check Julian Lage. (Bill frisell protege)

The website of the pedalbuilder:
Short version: I quit my business, I only service existing customers, maybe I can do a couple of boosts. I assume hes well beyond age of retirement.

I did find one used: (only eu 1200,- :))
