Helix native, HX Edit M1 query

I've just bought a new to me M1 macbook air and when I tried to install HX Edit it just asked me to install rosetta. I thought helix native and hx edit ran natively on M1 macs now. The previous owner had updated the macbook to Sequoia, is that the problem? I see Sonoma is listed but not Sequoia.

Apologies if this is super basic but macos is as I'm sure you can tell very new to me.
