Have You Bought Any Amp Heads / Combos & Cabs In 2025?

1971 Bandmaster Reverb and PS-2A Power Station to go with it.

F100 is pretty awesome, I used it live for the first time over the weekend. Surprisingly, live I found the gain channel to be almost too midscooped with the contour mode active (even with the mid knob around 8). Next time I probably would deactivate countour mode

Clean channel is like a twin on steroids, very cool amp and I got it for a serious steal
From what I read, F series was supposed to have Fender cleans + Marshall grind.

Surprising that the gain channel is so midscooped.

Must be a limited run celebrating Marshall's 100th Anniversary.

:puppet:rollsafe

:rofl

The only ones I have seen are the JTM Celestion 100 year special run but the 100 badge is different and at the bottom left but may have done others.

Marshall Amps was started in the early 60's, so we have a few years before their 100 year celebration :rofl

Either way, that is one beautiful amp and cab and I would love to have it.

If you ever change your mind and want to mod it, here is the schematic and what Santiago said about it https://thegearforum.com/threads/santiago-alvarez-electronics-engineer-jvm-yjm-afd.477/post-344557

These are really sleeper amps, IMO. BTW, did you see this from Tracii Guns...

Thanks for that info 👍
My old friend that used to do all the work on my amps and guitars went and emigrated with his family to Australia just before covid hit.
He was due over for a months visit over Christmas and new years in 2023 and was going to come and do some work and catch up during that trip but I went into hospital and came out with covid on the 2 December and was really unwell so he stayed away .
I’ve still not found anyone to replace him .

That's not until 2062.

Jim Marshall’s 100th birthday would have been 2023. Also, I believe it was Ken Underwood who said the 1962 original is off by a year, and it was actually 1963.

I have to decide which cab to play it through??
It’s a heavy bugger 👷😳

The Vox C-series cabs are heavy. I have the combo myself. A cab with Greenbacks or H-type speakers would work well. I use a 1x12 cab with Weber Alnico Blue-type speaker and a 2x12 with a Greenback/H75.

I’ve added a few amps and a cab to my stable this year:
-Mesa Dual Rectifier Multiwatt Head
-Mesa Badlander 50W Combo from the MF SDOTD
-Crab Benzin Head
-Line 6 Spider Valve 4x12 cab

Bought the EVH Iconic 5150 EL34 new and a Line 6 Cab of some sort loaded with V30s for $166 out the door used.

Not really on topic but I also bought Tama Speed Cobra 910s and some lowboy lightweight beaters as ive been playing drums more.

Happy with all purchases this year. Can't beat that cab for the price and I like the amp. It is very similar to a 6505+ but very slightly less agressive I suppose. Just a slight difference between the 2 and yeah the 6505+ i would prefer but not disappointed and will keep it for the price.

Just needed a 4x12 in my life.

Marshall 2466 Vintage Modern. I originally planned to do a couple of mods to it. Once I played it for a bit I liked it as is and decided against any mods.

Marshall Origin 50 modded with the drop in PCB from EvolveDIY/Headfirst. I still need to recover it when I get my workspace back in order.

Ashen Miley. Pretty cool little 10 watt bass amp that has a vintage tone. I can crank the volume to may for some power tube overdrive without crumbling the walls.

SonicTone Loyalist with Culper mod. The Loyalist is in the realm of high gain Marshall and Soldano. Instead of having duplicate high gain channels, the Culper mod puts the more America/scooped voiced high gain channel from the Patriot model into the Ch 4 of the Loyalist.
