Had to go to Baltimore today, and my route home takes me right past a GC. I didn't even want to stop and try anything, eager to get back home and play my own shit!

NNNAD. DSL100HR #3 just arrived...

And...

Fuck.

It has the exact same problem #2 had. Since #1 and #2 were both weird, but not in the same way, I figured they were both flukes. (Recap: #1 had a high pitched mechanical whine coming out of the power transformer. #2 had a low pitched buzz coming out of the power transformer.) #3 has the exact same low pitched buzz as #2. Could I ignore it? Sure. Would anyone hear it in a typical room at a rock show? Not at all. Is it right? Nope. Will it drive me crazy at home? Yup. Might it indicate a bigger problem waiting down the road? Who knows?

Used Gibson SG Standard P90: This one kind of blew me away.

By far the best SG I've ever played/heard was a stock 62' SG loaded with PAFs+Bigsby, which was owned by an old friend from the 80s who was session cat ~ His parents bought it for him new when he was 8 years old taking lessons!

Many, many nights we'd toke & chug some bud in his 32 ch. studio & jam into the early morning, often with me playing P-Bass so I could hear him riff out through that glorious beast thru a Plexi, with me on the other end of the live room cause he was blasting!

I didn’t realize that this thread was over a month old and I was trolling GC’s site trying to find that P90 SG. And then I was hoping @la szum bought it. I love my P90 SG. That’s a desert island guitar for me. Give me that and my Metro or a JTM45 and I’m set.

The Missouri GC I went in yesterday afternoon on the drive home had a B-52 AT(?) and a Genz Benz El Diablo. I felt like it was a shit convergence, the likes of which I had never witnessed before now

I was at the Canton MI one and played a few. A new 61 Standard, a Special with P90s and a Silverburst Standard with ebony board. Out of the 3 I liked the Silverburst the most. But that P90 special was nice. I’d like it more if it wasn’t red. I love my two red SGs that I have but I think I’m due for another color on a third. Next time I see a Pelham blue one show up locally I may have to try to grab it.
