Cool looking amp. I love triples, I played one for a long time and recorded two albums with one. Not sure I get the price tag, but there’s no denying it’s a cool amp.

They're definitely targeting the demographic that's past worrying about a few thousand dollars. Alas, I don't foresee being part of that demographic in this lifetime. After that Fryette Pitbull reveal...these kinds of "warts and all" reissues seem a bit blase. In Europe that's going to be over 4000 euros, while you can buy a "not desirable revision" Dual Rectifier on the used market for about 1000 euros at its cheapest.
Retire and Rectifier are almost the same wordThey're definitely targeting the demographic that's past worrying about a few thousand dollars. Alas, I don't foresee being part of that demographic in this lifetime.

Exactly, there's no reason at all for me to spend $4k on this triple when I can get one with old caps for $1,500 :lol:After that Fryette Pitbull reveal...these kinds of "warts and all" reissues seem a bit blase. FTFYCan I get it with 32 EL84s instead?
And solid state rectified. It needs to have a tight bottom.FTFY

When I was like 16 and about to throw down on a Dual I drove 2 hours to my nearest boogie dealer so I could shoot out the dual, triple, triaxis, DC-10, and some other stuff. The only time I’ve seen Triples get used where I thought “They got a legit need for 150 watts of a Recto” was the Korn guys. I’m trying to remember if I’ve ever even played through one? Funny, I never thought it was too crazy of an amp, but right now, having experienced several loud as tube amps at teeth rattling volume, the thought of a 150W Recto cracks me the fuck up.
Kinda lame vid…
