Hi all, new here. I did a search, but haven't found any posts about the GFI Solis Ventus. I am wondering if anyone here has been able to try it out yet. How does it compare with other combo reverb & delay pedals? It looks pretty interesting in the demos.

The reverbs in the Specular Tempus are supposedly among the best you can find in pedals and I'm curious to try the improved ones in Solis Ventus, buuuuuut I already have a Mercury X so...

You'll get a bunch of "just get a VP4" answers here, but the Solis Ventus has a HUGE advantage: analog dry through, meaning zero added latency on your dry signal.

It has some lovely features like ducking and sounds really nice.

But the user interface is annoyingly dated. I don't think I'd be happy having to go through settings of any delay two parameters at a time.

I'd rather pick the Source Audio Collider over this.

Are you referring to this interface?

Just learning about this today. I was a big fan of the Specular Tempus. Is this an addition to their lineup or a replacement for the Tempus? I can't see why I'd choose this over the Tempus or the Tempus over this one.

Yeah, this replaces the Tempus.

I was going to say they're available at Perfect Circuit, Chicago Music Exchange, and on the GFI site, but they all seem to be out of stock :|.

I love my Specular Tempus and Skylar, though. Not really in need of any more reverb pedals at the moment. I seem to have a ton of those (and even more delay pedals).

They're my drug of choice, for guitar pedals.

The Skylar is dead simple to use, but powerful and modestly-sized, for all that it offers up.

Messy (as usual) wiring. These experimental boards always have pedals flying on and off of them.
