Gamechanger Audio Light Pedal

I’m scoffing at the cost but totally intrigued by this thing as an analog reverb device that can make outlandish and normal sounds.

Anyone using it?

I just ordered a Automatic series dynamic Reverb- it can be triggered by set pitch or by pick dynamics- I can’t wait to start using it 👌🏾

Awesome! Excited to hear impressions. This one is still on my mind.
Awesome! Looking forward to your thoughts on it.

So far I’m joyously combining different spring- and optical settings when I have the time to play. It’s surprisingly easy to dial in something I like, and just then go full on bonkers with noise with a few knob twists. Really like that they included the possibility to combine one spring effect and one optical effect of your choosing. Feels very thought-through.

I’ll get back with more substance a bit later!

Buddy of mine has had one for a couple years

He loves it but it is fuckin huge
Yeah it’s huge and really heavy. I’m going to keep it up within arms reach (and in the amp FX loop). Only downside is that’s it’s harder to whack it and get explosive spring effects when it’s not on the floor.

Not a fan of spring reverb. No matter what other toys it has on it, it still sounds like a stretched spring.

I gave up on spring reverb thirty-five years ago and never looked back - and digital reverbs have come a long way, since then, too. Those tend to better suit my purposes.

Not interested in investing in anything that sounds remotely like a spring reverb - although some of my reverb pedals have decent spring emulation, if I had to have a spring sound (Spaghetti Westerns and Surf Music come to mind). But, I never really play in either of those genres, so...

To each his own. People like what they like. No right or wrong, here - just a matter of personal preference.
