I was always interested in the OG version. I might pick this up. $799 on MF/CG
I think the previous version was 799 and this is 999
I just ordered one from Thomann since they're waiting for delivery and are out of stock and hoping since they took my order (not charged yet) they might honor the old price.
Well I cancel mine anyways. Mine will ship in a week (not Thomann).Yeah, retailer listing prices appear to be old from an earlier announcement. I'd bet all prior orders get canceled.

Well it came today and it'll stay.I have been circling the drain on one of these, but the sparse demo videos I have seen
have left me less than stoked about it.
Look forward to your thoughts on it, Ed.![]()
We need more details! Heavily considering selling one of my amps and having this permanently run into my interface as a recording rig. The Fryette sound isn't one I often find myself NEEDING in my line up, but it's one I'm continually intrigued by and keep coming back to. Since the prices of their amps have gone through the roof in recent years, this would be a killer alternative to owning a Deliverance, Pitbull or Ultralead.Well it came today and it'll stay.
I thought it sounded pretty good in Michael's video.I wasn't blown away by the one demo I saw from Michael Nielsen. Maybe you are the
one to push my over the edge with words alone, @Ed DeGenaro .
Can I ask how you are using it? Monitoring? Thanks!
Just keep in mind I'm.gonna be called a shill unless I piss on something.I wasn't blown away by the one demo I saw from Michael Nielsen. Maybe you are the

As little guitar stuff I watch on YouTube he's one of the very few I will actually watch, the other one being Dani (the guy Eagle loves).I thought it sounded pretty good in Michael's video.
Good to know about the clean channel. I have never played a Fryette amp that I thought was particularly great in that department (though, I know they have more lower gain amps , I just haven't played them). I did really like the SigX's Plexi channel, but that was more on the pushed side. I was mostly thinking about picking one of these up as a recording rig for high gain, but if it can cover clean and edge of breakup sounds well, I can consider it replacing one of my more lesser used low/mid gain amps.Just keep in mind I'm.gonna be called a shill unless I piss on something.
So here we go...
Came yesterday morning and I cancelled lessons today again cause I enjoyed fucking off with it too much.
So here are the early impressions...
It's 11:30pm, I got it yesterday at like 9:30am and put about 20 hours on it since then.
First I tried it just straight through IK iLoud monitors to check the included IRs. I do like that it's a whole lotta Fane in Fryette cab IRs.
I didn't feel the need to add sauce just for that.
Next up, I wanted to see how it does as re-amper. Worked as advertised, and multiple passes where in phase.
Which is rare other than with the Kemper when it's set to constant latency.
I also wanted to see what happens if I use it as extra channel for the MkV:25 specifically the re-amping part.
As expected there was ground loop squeal but no biggie took 10 seconds to sort that.
Now I really wanted to actually hear it through a guitar cab since all the DI stuff makes stuff sounding more like the IR that's used than what one would hope.
Through a Heritage H70 Cream it killed hard.
Now we finally get to talk sound...
The big surpise is the clean channel in either less or more mode cranked.
Just stunningly responsive.
The Pitbull and Deliverance channels/modes/whatever have slightly less gain on tap as my Mesa. We get back to this.
Oh, I also wanted to see how it does with the KMA Endgame as headphone amp.
Worked fantastic with it.
Makes for a fun headphone practice rig.
What I'm getting at is that the sound aspect is the least of my worry. I can get anything to sound right for my needs, exact and null tests I have no use for. Which is why I prefer both Kemper or Tonex to other digibixes for me it has a great convenience factor and the fun factor is pretty good.
But just like with the majority of amps I used the last few years the fun factor on this is where it's at.
Not thinking about gear or messing with it. But rather getting on with and playing.
Same as with the V:25 or the mini Jube.
Does it oomph like my Deliverance did? No, but just like 4x12 that's a sound I have no use for anymore.
So that was yesterday, today I started with it going into Protools, just hit record and done.
Without any hassle the tone was/is there.
After the obligatory old man siesta I finally dragged it from the band room and hooked it up again with 4CM with the V:25.
This time through it's built in 10" speaker.
While also running it into Kali monitors.
In other words option was to either/and have the signal come from the the Mesa mini cab or the Fryette IR and/or analog sim out.
Now I got the point where the gain difference was negligible.
I was also starting to really like the analog cab sim.
This with the Mesa combo might just be transportable enough for stuff I got coming up later this year.
Now it was time to see how it works with pedals, out comes the SD9 and as expected with the Deliverance and Pitbull side.
Again big surpise the clean side.
Would I get another if this was gone? Hell yeah.
Next test I needed to record a clean tone, so neck single coil in parallel a bit more top, good to go.
Then needed a double on a high gain line, again 10 seconds to get the right sound. If that long.

Yeah cancelled another day of teaching today, but I also threw my back out but it didn't stop me from recording the last almost 5 hours.Thank you, @Ed DeGenaro for that epic rundown.
Isn't the ultimate litmus test for all gear how inspiring and fun it is to use?
For me, that says it all! If something gets us playing more, or inspires us
to drop other commitments so we can keep playing that is huge!
I appreciate you being so thorough and sharing your thoughts. Not
shilling. Just thrilling!![]()
