Stoked there’s plugins out, it’s a step I’ve been desperate for and I think it’s a sensible concept and I think it’ll lead plugin users to buy hardware and hardware users to buy plugins.

I wonder, is this one of the lines of products that’ll be on the tail end of the “axefx III” generation, or will plugins be treated on par with the latest flagship updates?

Agree on the look of them, there’s so much potential to do more and take advantage of the platform. But it’ll do the job and the fact it even exists is enough of a buzz that it gets a pass.

Even if it’s locked at Gen3 I’m pumped. Can’t wait for the Mesa’s, Uberschall, Diezels, Marshalls (with ability to mod).

Looks like its perhaps the first product of the 'next gen' (although AM4 and VP4 may already have been). Theres really no reason with the power of computers that it couldnt be updated along with future products.

I personally dont believe that Fractal Axe 4 is going to be some ground up redesign of the whole modelling like Line 6 Agora, theres really no need for that. I think it will be more about usability, more memory space, processing power, and the amp updates will continue to be iterative based on the existing ones. But thats just my assumption and its not based off anything other than my own thoughts.

I think it will be a bit of a tough sell, especially launching with amps that are not that unique on the plugin market.

I think these might be more interesting to buy for the Fractal fx rather than the amps.

I mean, it’s not like Fractal is some new kid on the block with amp modeling. Of course they’re going to start with models that pretty much everyone, regardless of genre, want in their arsenal. I doubt they’d sell nearly as many “Carol-Ann” volumes.

I will say that the seeing the bits and pieces of improvement (workflow of UI with the AM4/VP4, updated dynacab in the plugins, etc). Do offer a look into future fractal products
