Footswitch keeps cycling through snapshots — how to make it select only one?

Is it really that difficult? I’m in snapshot mode and when I hit the button for snapshot 1, I just want only that snapshot to load! For some reason I can’t figure out, no matter how I set up the footswitches, they just keep cycling through.

I read somewhere that this was added in a firmware update as some kind of “convenience,” but honestly, it doesn’t feel convenient at all. For example I set it to Behavior: Press/Release, with Press: Snapshot 1, and from what I understand, as soon as I release it jumps to the next snapshot because the release action is set to Next.

So what am I supposed to do? Should I also assign Snapshot 1 to the Release action? I even tried that, but it still didn’t work!
How on earth am I supposed to set up each footswitch so that it ONLY triggers the snapshot I want when I press it?!

I assume you're talking about the HX Stomp here (you should possibly add that to the thread title).

Now, I can't reproduce the cycling behaviour, but over here, regardless of the switch mode, I need two press actions to call up snapshot 1 - as long as the target snapshot doesn't have a snapshot target on its own. It's pretty weird, really. Seems to possibly be a bug.

Anyhow, what exactly do you want to achieve? When calling up snapshot one, you must be coming from another snapshot, right?
