Has anyone had a roller nut put on their Strat? Or had a Strat that came with one factory installed?

Any issues? Do ryou prefer it or hate it? Would you rather have a bone nut?

I have two Strats with LSR nuts and have no complaints whatsoever. The only tricky part is the modification to the nut slot but it was worth it for me.

Good luck!

I had an American Deluxe Strat that had one and it was one of the worst sounding Strats I’ve ever played.

I don’t know if it’s fair to attribute any of that to the nut, but I’ve avoided them ever since

Are these to help it stay in tune using the tremolo?

tuning stability and metal-nut tone, it's jangly like a zero fret but it's a tradeoff in u lose a little low body in the tone, string only contacts one little point of a bearing on each side, vs a bone nut that will grab a lot more vibration and send it through the neck. I'll take mechanical treble boost any way i can get it, I'll get sustain from feedback and body from the paraEQ. I personally love tf out of American deluxe strat for LSR nut and the "passing lane" + S1 switching combination. and the old good version american strat saddles. I have 4 or 5 of them

I owned a 97 Strat Plus Deluxe that came with a factory installed LSR roller nut. I loved it. It completely eliminated binding issues for me at that end of the fretboard. The Trem on that guitar also stayed in tune like nothing else I’ve ever had.

I’d have no problem owning one of those again. In fact I’d love to still own that Strat.
