I thought I just hated fender guitars until discovering Fender 50s necks. All their modern stuff feels like garbage to me because of the thin necks. Even their deep C profile is bleh. The Vintera/Vintera II ‘50s models have fat necks.
Most of the other regular production models with their “modern C” profiles are an immediate “no” from me.
I think I'm the one member of any guitar forum I've ever been on that appreciates a standard C profile neck. Comfy.

I totally get it. My problem is that I love 50s specs but 60s aesthetics. I want a baseball bat neck but with a rosewood fretboard. If I can find an obese 60s neck I do love those too…they are just much harder to find.I like a fat 50s style fender neck and an early 60s C where it starts off slimish but is properly chunky by the time you get to the 12th fret. The problem with the modern C shaped necks for me is the lack of taper, they're slim the whole way down the neck.

I'm the same. My tele is based on 60s specs with a huge 50s style 1" C neck from USACG.
Man that is a beauty. I totally build the same thing - 60s aesthetics with fat necks. I’ve got like 5 of them. It’s a problem.I'm the same. My tele is based on 60s specs with a huge 50s style 1" C neck from USACG.

My strat has a USACG 63 strat neck profile which starts at about 22mm and gets up to 25mm (about 1 inch) by the 12th fret.
