Does anyone have or had one of these and compared it to the Timeline, Nemesis or DD500? Anybody got any opinions on what they liked and didn't like about it? @Orvillain is this a unit you've had once or three times before?

It sounds really cool in the demos I've heard and doesn't seem as complicated to use as I first suspected.

I've owned it once, aye.

It sounds good for some things, but I didn't like the control scheme too much, and didn't enjoy how it felt under the fingers. The chasis is a bit too tall for my tastes too. Some of the algorithms are borderline useless with too much modulation that you can't take away, for example.

Overall, I think the money is better spent elsewhere.

Sounds great but you really need to read the manual to get the most out of it. I appreciate that you can load the Reverb firmware onto it if you feel like changing things up. I'd grab a Timefactor or Timeline first but I certainly wouldn't be unhappy using one.

Thanks man. Good info. Are you still using the Nemesis?

Meris LVX :D does much more then echosystem and time factor or strymon etc. If not then I'd suggest Nemesis for sure.

However if you're going to spend meris lvx money then why not Fractal VP4?

It was ok. It’s been a while, but I do remember it being noisy in my rig.

Timeline and Nemesis were noticeably better.

High praise coming from a delay slut like you. :grin I'll order one as soon as I find one at the right price.
They're really good. You can get sucked into the editor and all that jazz. But if you just treat it like a posh DD8, they're really musical and rewarding to use. Instant gratification for sure!

That's my plan tbh. I'm not mad keen on needing editors to be able to use a pedal properly and probably won't want to deep dive too much anyway. Menu diving is what swayed me away from the DD-500 and VP4.

Those are epic pedals too. The DD500 is the one I've owned 6 times lmao. I am using it on my board as well.

In every single demo I've seen the DD-500 does sound great to be fair but I want to stay as far away from menu diving as possible. I'm thinking a Nemesis, UAFX Golden and a DL4 MKii will give me everything I want... For now. I want to keep the Glitch and Euclidean delay which is why I'm going to grab a DL4.

I have an Echosystem and a Nemesis (among other delays), and I'm keeping both. The Nemesis has more range, but I genuinely like both pedals. I found the Echosystem very easy to dial in. I also have and enjoy the Empress Reverb.

I’ve been eyeing the Empress Reverb. Would be curious to get your rundown of its strengths/weaknesses etc.
