Depends on the pedals, imho.

Also, the wall warts might be different quality over here (Europe).

I personally try to steer clear of them, mainly because they're bulky, have rather low mA output, and aren't exactly built to last.

EHX people have sometimes stated that their pedals need 9.6v, and their wall warts supply exactly that. Some people say that it is the voltage which a 9v battery supplies in reality.

I would be scared of powering a Boss, Ibanez or MXR pedal with an EHX power supply. Since the limited knowledge I have says that pedals don't mind being supplied more mA of current, but more voltage is a cause of frying them.

My experience with the 90s EHX PSU for the DMM (24v) was that it was unregulated and was actually putting out 32vdc. I hope a lot changed in the past 30 years

It's what my 90s DDM needed, to be fair. Only when I linked two outs of my Cioks DC7, one 18 and one 15vdc the DDM worked properly, haha. But I wouldn't use this PSU with anything else
