Double Durple

Hia, bought a double durple (dual overdrive) recently and put it through my Vox AC30 - when both sides of the pedal are on it sounds like a gale force wind is going through the amp.

Took it to the local guitar shop and plugged into a new Vox AC15 - same issue.

Anyone else had similar problem?

Can you post a gut shot? I've had problems like this with a pedal with a charge pump in it creating noise when combined with another circuit in one enclosure. Poor wiring could also potentially cause problems like this. What's the double durple based on?

Is the power supply isolated? What other pedals are in the signal chain?

Thanks for the replies, I've not opened it up, but did have the pedal exchanged and all three did this. Think it's a blues breaker and a durple which is a drive pedal.

Power supply is just a standard 9v daisy chain supply and doesn't need anything else in the chain to make it unhappy. Having the amp serviced at the moment for peace of mind.

Just a bit of an odd one, could be power supply ?

Do you always keep it directly above the amp’s power transformer?
